The main scholarship I’d like to highlight is the Aberystwyth University Scholarships & Merit Awards, more commonly known as our Scholarship Exams. These optional exams are a fantastic opportunity for students to secure up to £3,000, plus an unconditional offer to study at Aberystwyth.

- Application Deadline? - 12 pm on Friday, 23 January 2026
- How many exam papers? - 2 exam papers in relevant subjects of their choice
There’s really nothing to lose — even if a student doesn’t win the financial award, they could still gain an unconditional offer, and if they do, the potential benefit is significant. Students might think of it as a kind of mock exam: extra experience under exam conditions, with a meaningful upside.
