There’s more to life in the Army than you think.

Experience real adventure
Step outside your comfort zone with adventure training. Every soldier and officer regularly goes on adventure training to build leadership, resilient, fitness and more. But also, it’s fun. How many jobs could see you wreck diving off the coast of New Zealand, white water kayaking a Norwegian river or skiing in Greenland?

See the world
The world’s a big place. But when you’re in the Army, chances are you’ll see a lot of it. How much you see is really up to you. There are so many opportunities to travel in the Army, whether it’s adventure training, training exercises, going on operation or doing humanitarian work.

Get paid to get fit
Staying fit and healthy is a huge part of Army life. Which means you’ll get paid to stay fit. You’ll also have access to a whole network of sports and teams that run through most levels of ability from your regiment up to representing the Army. If there’s a sport you love or think you want to learn, chances are you can do it in the Army.

Work and life that’s actually balanced
After training, you’ll be posted to your new unit where you’ll mostly have a work life balance similar to civilian life. Your usual work hours will be 8am – 5pm. If you’re not on operations or duty, you can spend your evenings and weekends however you like.
