Cheltenham Community Trust recruits annually 15 players between the ages of 16-18 to become part of the Football and Education Scholarship Programme.

Cheltenham Community Trust recruits annually 15 players between the ages of 16-18 to become part of the Football and Education Scholarship Programme. Students will enroll on a 2-year full time education programme, studying Level 3 in Sport (Equivalent to 3 A levels), whilst competing in an English Football League CEFA representing Cheltenham Town FC.
The scholar’s study at the football club and play competitive football fixtures against other professional Football Clubs including Bristol City, Swindon Town & Plymouth Argyle just to mention a few.
The programme aims to provide students with the underpinning knowledge and expertise in the field of sport, which could include a career in sports coaching, P.E. teaching, physiotherapy, sports management or sports science.
