Whilst healthcare experience is an important part of the application process, universities are increasingly looking for applicants who can demonstrate genuine insight into the realities of working within the NHS, rather than simply listing hours of observation.

Our NHS Allied Healthcare Virtual Work Experience Programme on Sunday 5th July has been designed to help students develop this understanding through realistic patient scenarios and interactive learning.

Registration: https://alliedhealthmentor.org/product/live-virtual-work-experience-programme/

Throughout the programme, students will follow patient journeys from presentation through to treatment and recovery, gaining insight into how multidisciplinary teams collaborate to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care.

Students will explore careers including:
• Nursing
• Midwifery
• Paramedicine
• Physiotherapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Dietetics
• Radiography
• Speech and Language Therapy
• Prosthetics and Orthotics
• Pharmacy

The programme helps students develop a clearer understanding of:
• The roles and responsibilities of different allied healthcare professionals
• How multidisciplinary teams communicate and work together
• The importance of patient-centred care within the NHS
• The personal qualities and professional behaviours expected in healthcare careers
• How to reflect on healthcare experiences when preparing future university applications

Students who attend will receive a Certificate of Attendance, demonstrating their commitment to exploring careers in healthcare and supporting future personal statements and interviews.

If you know students considering a career in allied healthcare, we would be extremely grateful if you could share this opportunity with them.
