We'd like to invite any young people who are interested in working in healthcare to our next cohort of the Royal College of Nursing Cadets, taking place in August in Gloucester City Centre.
This is a brilliant opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build confidence, and explore real careers in nursing, health and social care.
Why should I sign up?
- Experience – Boost your CV by completing a programme delivered by the Royal College of Nursing.
- Practical skills – Learn emergency response basics, try manual-handling techniques, and take on our Infection Prevention “escape room” challenge.
- Career options – Meet and learn from real Nurses and explore different health and care career paths.
- Work experience – You may be offered a work‑experience placement in a local health or care setting.
This programme is packed with interactive sessions designed to help you develop new skills, grow in confidence and understand what working in health and care is really like.
Programme dates
Bronze Level: 14th & 15th October 2026 (must attend both days)
Silver Level: 21st & 22nd October 2026 (optional continuation after Bronze but must be completed in order to qualify for work experience in the hospital.)
9:30am – 4:00pm
Gloucester City Centre
Cost: FREE
At the end of the programme, you’ll receive a certificate and those who complete Bronze and Silver will have the chance to progress to Gold level through work experience at Gloucestershire Hospitals.
