We’re running a series of short virtual information sessions with Tesco for their Stronger Starts Retail Apprenticeship, and these sessions are designed to help students understand a clear, paid alternative pathway.

Who is this for?
This session is particularly relevant for students who:

  • Are worried they might not achieve the GCSE/A-Level results they need
  • Don’t currently have a confirmed plan after exams
  • Are unsure about sixth form, college, or what to do next
  • Would benefit from earning money while gaining real work experience

In these sessions, students will:

  • Hear directly from Tesco and get insider tips on applying
  • Understand what the role is actually like day-to-day
  • Learn how they can earn up to £23,000 (full-time equivalent) while gaining real experience
  • See how this can be a strong alternative to sixth form, college, or a gap year

Importantly, students who complete the programme gain a Level 2 qualification (equivalent to 5 GCSE passes) so even if results don’t go to plan, they can still earn, gain experience, and keep future pathways open.

We’re keeping the sessions short and accessible during exam season:
